I started thinking earlier about "passion," "motivation," & "success." All of these ingredients are necessary in order to fulfill your vision of a dream. Be it a dream in business, in a relationship or even for creating the next big thing, whatever that might be.
When I personally think of passion, I automatically think about love. I think of the love I have for certain people, passions I have for certain hobbies and of course the eternal love I have for my children. Those are things I can say I'm truly passionate about. Although without a doubt you can certainly have passion for your job. I can't see being a success, in the big scheme of business, if you don't carry a vision of being at the top. The best of the best. If you can't envision your status now, it's time to get out of the game.
Motivation, is an interesting word. What motivates you? Is it that you simply "have" to get up to go to work each day in order to earn a paycheck? Are you motivated in a way that you know that what you are doing is going to help others? Motivation is a tricky word. It can take on so many different meanings as to how it is used or contemplated. Personally, being motivated is essential in order to be a success. I am self-motivated. Being self-motivated is key when you own your own business, as you don't have someone looking over your shoulder saying, A, B, C, must get completed today. You know the goals you need to reach in order to accomplish your next success.
Success, the word in itself makes me smile. Do you remember how you felt when you won your first race in grade school? Or maybe it was when you aced the Geometry test, the one you were certain you might fail. It's the fear of success that often time stops people from succeeding. Think about it for a moment. Success breads fear. Only those that truly want to be successful, are those people who are passionate, motivated and get up each day knowing they can make things happen.
